The last time Salman Khan was seen in an Ali Abbas Zafar film, it was Sultan, which smashed box office records and went on to become the actor's second highest-grossing film. Not just that, the wrestling drama was loved by critics as well.
Salman and Ali's second collaboration, Tiger Zinda Hai, is no different. The spy-thriller crossed the Rs 300-crore mark on Saturday and if it continues its fantastic run at the box office, it could beat Bajrangi Bhaijaan to become Salman's biggest hit.
Fans had been waiting with bated breath for the film. Not only does Tiger Zinda Haihave Salman Khan back to the genre he does best, action, it also marks the onscreen reunion of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif after five years.
According to early estimates, Tiger Zinda Hai made around Rs 5 crore on Sunday, taking its total domestic collection so far to Rs 306.89 crore. The film is also performing well in the overseas market.

The spy-thriller, which is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster, Ek Tha Tiger, revolves around RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) agent Tiger and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agent Zoya's mission to rescue 25 nurses from the clutches of an ISIS-like terrorist organisation.
