Interim CEO UB Pravin Rao mailed Infosys employees over the weekend to tell them that the company would have a new leader at the start of the new year, puttting an end to the uncertainty over the IT firm’s top post following the departure of Vishal Sikka . “I would like to inform you that our board of directors has appointed Salil Parekh as chief executive officer and managing director of the company effective January 2, 2018...We look forward to Salil joining us in the new year,” Rao said in an email to employees. The short mail, highlighting Parekh’s role at Capgemini and his prowess at turnarounds, came as a relief to Infosys employees, who have been eager to put an end to the uncertainty they face.
