The Mi A1 Android smartphone has been given a permanent Rs. 1,000 price cut by Xiaomi, roughly three months after it was launched in the country. This brings the Xiaomi Mi A1 price in India down to Rs. 13,999, applicable on both Mi.com and Flipkart. The Mi A1 price cut was announced Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain on Sunday via a tweet , saying "Great news Mi Fans: announcing a permanent price drop of Rs. 1,000 on Mi A1! [sic]". This price drop helps Xiaomi position its portfolio better against the likes of Honor 7X, Nokia 6, and Moto G5S Plus in the sub-Rs. 15,000 segment, at least until the Redmi 5 Plus hits the Indian market.
